The annual Morgan Creek POA membership meeting will be held on July 9, 2016 beginning at 10am at the boat ramp park. A BBQ lunch will follow. In case of rain the location will be moved to the neighboring Arnhamn carport (where it was held last year).
The Morgan Creek Village POA Executive Board, Board of Trustees and committees will hold a meeting in 2 weeks. The information for the meeting is provided below.
Hello everyone,
After the rain we received in May and June, Lake Buchanan is now at a level around 1007. This is great news for our lake, and hopefully the current El Nino will bring more rain our way this Fall (Read more about the predictions at NOAA Enso Predictions). Many of you have heard of the log jam that occurred with the rains. Below are pictures of this spectacle! The log jam is located at the north end of the lake, just as the river enters the main part of the lake. The pictures depict a large congested area of wood and debris. Eventually this should loosen when we receive more rain.

What a wonderful way to spend our Saturday morning, huddled under the Arnhamn’s carport, escaping the morning rain showers! Thanks to Joy and Stan Arnhamn we had a comfortable place to hold our annual meeting. The community is looking great with lots of green grass and trees, baby fawns and foxes about, and a lake slowly on the rise. The annual meeting was productive with a good turnout from the membership. The BBQ lunch was an excellent way to finish our morning- Thanks JB Beasley and all the Smith brothers for making sure we were well fed! Below are copies of the Agenda, Minutes, and Treasurer’s Report. I will be updating our site soon to include information about the Fire Wise Community Program (which I’ve already started researching given Randa Toner’s report at the meeting). Also please check the “Resources” page as I will be adding contact information for local contractors that community members have had good experiences using (e.g., cedar/lot clearing, tree trimming, home building, etc.). We had another great meeting today. It’s always a pleasure to see members of our community at these meetings, and today was just a good reminder of why we all enjoy living in Morgan Creek Village. The meeting was followed by a fantastic BBQ lunch and it was certainly a treat. If you were not able to join us today please check out the agenda, meeting minutes, and treasurer’s report below. We voted on many new officers and committee members…so your name might just be on one of those committees! Actually we had lots of volunteers from members at the meeting, so if you’re lucky there might be a spot available next year. Thanks for a great morning. And thanks to Mother Nature for overcast skies and a cool breeze off the water.

On October 28, 2013 the Executive Board met to discuss unfinished business from the annual summer meeting. The board reviewed plans for upgrades to Miller Drive, clearing cedar from the park area, and discusses the new website and YahooGroups.

Thanks to everyone for attending our annual meeting this morning. It was a productive meeting, and we were lucky to have a cool breeze to keep the heat at bay! The POA President, Bob Daemmrich, did an excellent job reviewing this past year’s activities, which included board members finding a way to keep our legal liability insurances, extending the boat ramp, and beginning the process of clearing dead cedar from our common areas. Lots of activities are in the works, so email the POA if you have ideas or suggestions for future activities. Below you will find the Agenda, Treasurer’s Report, and Meeting Minutes. Hope to see even more members in attendance next year!
